Reference guide
Daily operations
Once your account, products, and first shipment are set up, this is what a normal day running Storely looks like.
Your daily routine
- Check the dashboard's Needs attention panel — orders awaiting allocation, shipments that have arrived but haven't been received, and expiry alerts.
- Receive any overnight inbound shipments.
- Allocate pending orders.
- Create a wave and run the pick.
- Generate and print shipping labels.
- Finalize any shipments or orders that are ready — this locks in billing.
Cycle counting
Open Operations → Cycle Counts → Schedule count, select the bin or zone to count, and assign it to a warehouse worker. The mobile count screen records the counted quantities and any variances against what the system expects — inventory adjustments post automatically once the count is submitted.
Returns
Open Operations → Returns → New return and link it to the original order. Specify a disposition for each item — options include Restock, Restock Quarantine, Return To Vendor, Dispose, Donate, Client Pickup, and Pending Inspection — and the item is received back the same way an inbound shipment is: scan it in, and it's handled according to the disposition you chose.
